About MQP Spiral Jet Mill

  Spiral Jet Mills, a jet mill (fluid energy mill) employing compressed air or gas to produce particles less than one micron. Inside the milling area, precisely aligned jets create a vortex. Material is fed into this vortex along an engineered tangent circle and accelerates.

  High-speed rotation subjects material to particle-on-particle impact reduction. Centrifugal force holds larger particles in the grinding area, while centripetal force drives preselected sized fines toward the center for discharge.

  Spiral jet mills meet a variety of material and output specifications. The typical feed size is 100 mesh or finer.

  The product size ranges from sub-micronto to 44 microns. Capabilities range from 0.25 to 5,000 Kg per hour. Spiral jet mills maybe operated using compressed air, steam or inert gases.

Working Principle

  Compressed gas is used to pass the feeder ejector to bring the ground raw materials into the grinding chamber, and driven by the high-speed airflow from multiple nozzles, it is sprayed on the grinding wall in a tangential manner to achieve the effect of friction grinding. By adjusting the longitudinal depth of the grinding chamber, adjusting the grinding pressure or feeding speed, the fineness of grinding can be controlled. Compared with the fluidizer bed jet mill, the controllability of the pulverization fineness is less.
